1.01. Why can't I boot from a USB CD-ROM?

This can be caused by incorrect settings in the BIOS. Attach a PS/2 keyboard and press DEL to enter the BIOS during boot-up. Navigate to Chipset Features. Check that "USB keyboard support is enabled", also check that "on-chip USB is enabled".

1.02. Why does my terminal crash (without error messages) when I install Windows XP?

To avoid this problem is to turn off all the USB ports prior to XP installation. These ports can be activated again after O/S installation and Windows XP will run normally. REBOOT the machine and enter the BIOS by "DEL" during start-up. Navigate to "Advanced Chipset Features" and select disable "on-chip USB". Select "Save and Exit Setup" to save the changes. Reboot the machine and continue with WIndows XP installation.

1.03. Are Robot POS series compatible with Windows XP embedded?

YES, they are compatible with XP embedded, but Windows XP embedded is a customization product. We strongly recommend customers to evaluate the integration before formal ordering.

1.04. What operating systems are compatible with Robot POS series?

Robot POS series can support DOS/ Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP/ Linux operating systems.
